Sweatshirt to Quilted Jacket
Transform a plain sweatshirt into a one-of-a-kind quilted jacket with guidance from start to finish. One registration covers the two-part class on Saturday, October 24 and Saturday, November 7, 2026. The first session runs 9 a.m.–noon Eastern; ask Sauder Village for the November 7 hours. No garment-making experience is needed, but you must know how to use your sewing machine. Tuition is $45 for the course; supplies cost extra. Bring a plain, logo-free crewneck sweatshirt one size larger than usual, 1.5 yards of fabric, matching thread, a 6½ × 24½-inch ruler, a 45 mm rotary cutter, a sharp seam ripper, sewing scissors, measuring tape, pins, and a sewing machine with a walking/even-feed foot. All supplies except the sweatshirt are available at The Quilt Shop with a 10% class-supply discount. Rotary cutting mats and irons are available to use. Reserve through the linked Sauder Village page.
